The Ghost Horse book review

Published by dunappaloosa at 8:37 am under Reading Edit This

I’ve been reading “The Ghost Horse” by Les Savage, Jr.   I bought the book because I like Appaloosa’s and this one had one right on the cover.  Yep sometimes I buy books just because I like what’s on the cover. In this case I also liked the story inside. Last week I posted a Tuesday Teaser with a few lines from the book.

This book is a nice family western about a boy and his father and a herd of wild mustangs. As with most westerns, there are some conflicts and some violence in the story line, but not really graphic and detailed like in some.  In most ways the storyline is the typical “boy find and tames wild horse” story, but this one has a very interesting twist at the end that isn’t typical.  Since that little twist in the story line is quite a spoiler, I’ll not say any more about it.
